Field Notes

Description:

An aquatic plant invasive to Illinois, the Curly Leaved Pondweed can grow a stem up to a meter long, and has many curly and serrated leaves up to 3 inches long.

Habitat:

Preferring nutrient rich water, the curly leaved pondweed is tolerant of temperature range and other conditions.

Notes:

I may have this confused with the native large leaved pondweed, but most of the images I find match this for curly leaved pondweed.
