Wildlife Spotting

Bamboo-like plant that grows 5+ feet tall. This plant is not new to the area, it has been there 20+ years. I have not seen it anywhere else. Dies in the winter leaving wood-like dried out bamboo the regrows in the spring. Spreads like a weed.
