You've got to love how cute these guys/gals look. I've always loved jumping spiders.
I take a lot of jumpers outside during the summer. I've "trained" my family not to kill them and come get me when they find one lol
Thanks Jack! I think you are right. Yes, this one was on the kitchen windowsill. Hopefully my mother hasn't done away with him, I may have to make a rescue effort. :)
Beautiful jumping spider. I am almost 100% this is a female Platycryptus undatus. Males have an orange stripe under the eyes and male jumping spiders in general have enlarged pedipalps. There are a few species that look like this one, but I am confident with this ID. We have these all over our house (inside and out). They recently had babies and I've been finding them everywhere!
