Description:

Black tail feathers, with grey and white feathers covering a majority of the body, it has a yellow bill with a black and red spot at the tip, yellow legs, and webbed feet.

Habitat:

Near or around water.

Notes:

/This bird is a vagrant to northeastern North America./ /Called the "Sea-Cat" in Japan due to it's 'Cat like call.'/

The only confirmed record of a Black-tailed Gull in Chicago was on 7th August 2003. Black-tailed Gulls have a darker wing than yours and red spots on the tip of the upper mandible and on the lower mandible behind the ring.
