Description:

He was a bluish greyish fish with a smooth but slimey outer skin and if rubbed the wrong way would feel rough he even has a few wiskers.

That looks like some kind of carp to me, but it might be a big koi or something if it is in a pond with goldfish. Either way it's a big minnow in the family Cyprinidae :)
