Description:

This moth always rests with the abdomen bent to one side or the other. About 60mm wingspan; slight scalloping along the outer forewing margins; varied grey and brown patches and dull bands; recurved forewing margin near the tips.

Habitat:

This specimen was attracted to a dull outside light near midnight.
Outer urban area.

Notes:

A different genus (Parepisparis) is known as the 'Bright twisted moth' but does the same thing with it's abdomen. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/940636019
Typical geometrid catties have only two prolegs and move with a looping action. They feed on eucalyptus.
