Field Notes

Habitat:

Found along a canal surrounded by hardwood trees.

Notes:

I've got this narrowed down to Phidippus, but haven't been able to go beyond that. The abdomen has thrown me off a bit and have not found a similar identification. Originally, I was leaning toward Princeps, but just not sure. Perhaps it is an immature individual of a specific species.

Update: Bugguide just identified this as a male phidippus pius.
