Description:

Hundreds of cultivars exist, many vivid pinks and purples, but the ones you find along roadsides have mostly reverted to white or, like these, pale pink. "Odoratus" in its name refers to the fact that it was developed as a highly scented flower, but the wild ones have also lost their scent. Still pretty.

Notes:

Another hardy, attractive pea-faced flower considered invasive in some circles.
