Description:

This great egret is wearing his green mating face. He fanned out his feathers and danced to attract a female. She was not interested as shown in the last photo.

Habitat:

Wetlands Park (Wakodahatchee Wetlands in Delray Beach, FL)

The green around the eyes comes only in mating season. The rest of the year it is yellow.
