Field Notes

Description:

Lots of these were present, mostly hidden in the Water-crowfoot and pond margins.
Also known as Iberian Green Frog and Perez's Frog.
My understanding is that Pelophylax was formerly a sub-Genus of Rana but is now a full Genus.
The frog in pictures 5 & 6 I thought at first was a different species but it is just a colour variation.

Habitat:

Pond in meadow by mountain airfield.
