Field Notes

Description:

Tan with dark gray wings and faded yellow underneath. They have a distinct black mask around the eyes. The tail feathers are tipped with bright yellow. Small, waxy red droplets tip their secondary flight feathers, hence their name.

Notes:

Quite a few of these in the field next to our property right now. I'm not sure what attracted them to the area. We've never seen them around before!
