Description:

Low growing plant with oval, thick, leathery leaves. Sweet smelling flowers that can be pink or white. Trumpet shaped bloom with five petals. Evergreen. Native wildflower.

Habitat:

Temperate forest. Blydenburgh County Park, NY.

Notes:

Considered "Exploitably Vulnerable" in New York State.
