Field Notes

Description:

Length: 6mm.

Habitat:

Marshy bush, surrounded by forests. Cool place.

Notes:

This's my 2nd tortoise beetle spotting, and spotted at an altitude of about 2000m. The earlier one was at about 1000m. This one has green antennae and the other one reddish, and also smaller compared to the earlier one. Looks like this is younger than the other one!

Thanks Viv for the colpiments. I have taken some 40-50 macro shots for these 4 posts. The beetle keeps on moving in all directions. Added problem is that of DOF with very small subjects. It's actually quite difficult to 'capture' this beetle! I'm just about 80% satified of these shots. Pl try some more times.
I'm very envious DrNamgyal .. I've spotted a Tortoise Beetle twice in recent weeks but have yet to actually get a good image....
