Description:

These are apparently growths caused by tiny mites that eat and lay their eggs in maple leaves.

Habitat:

Riverside Park, Grand rapids.

Notes:

Thought these might be some kind of mite, then I thought they were fungi, now I know they are, in fact, mites.
