Description:

This moth is in the family of noctuid moth found worldwide.It was found at a porch light, along with many other species of moths crane flies, and blister beetles.This species is considered an agricultural pest, as sometimes they devour crops.But in my garden just a few dandelion leaves.

Gardens,Crops,Fields

Notes:

One cool fact is that the moth gets its scientific name from black markings on its forewings shaped like the letter "Y" or the Greek letter upsilon.
