Field Notes

Description:

Mustard yellow wings are variably blotched and speckled purplish brown. Males more heavily marked than females.

Habitat:

Rich mesic woods

Notes:

This is part of my sheet for the first night of National Moth Week ! I had 16 Imperial moths show up, along with 2 Royal Walnut moths (shown). Others that came to the lights that first night but not shown were a male Polyphemus and a female Luna. along with a multitude of other smaller moths. It was a good night !
