Field Notes

Description:

This is my backyard northern cardinal (male). Enjoy seeing him almost every morning around the feeders. Right now there is also the female around with him. Interesting fact--the male feeds young of the first brood by himself while female builds the second nest.

Habitat:

My backyard.
