Description:
The Soldier Pansy or Soldier Commodore (Junonia terea)[2] is a butterfly of the Nymphalidae family.
The wingspan is 50–55 mm in males and 52–60 mm in females.
Habitat:
It is found in the Afrotropic ecozone.
Notes:
Reclusive but territorial butterfly. When it's not capering about in the garden, it's hanging in a cool corner disguised as a leaf as seen in the last two photos. Fascinating nymphlid!
