Field Notes

Description:

A garden pest beetle with yellow, black and orange colors approximately 1/3 - 1/2 inch in length. Larvae is orange, black and soft bodied.

Habitat:

Crops, gardens, potato plants

Notes:

Having planted potatoes for years, I have picked off at least 3 dozen of these beetles from my garden potato plants this season.
Now, my latest group of photos is the Colorado Potato Beetle larvae - in just one day they have decimated my potato plants.
