Field Notes

Description:

Fairly large with a brown thick coat. Mid sized ears with light brown fur inside. This rabbit has a white undercoat and a round white bushy tail. That's why they are called cottontails!

Habitat:

Woodland or forest

Notes:

I found this little guy on the trail near my neighborhood. He was very cute and barely noticeable in the tail grass. You really had to look. He darted off when I got closer than I was.
