Description:
Has a grey trunk with multiple sections, and is about 13 feet tall. The tree blossoms pinkish-white flowers in late march to be pollinated by insects. The flowers stay for about a week. After that, it grows maroon leaves (like shown in the picture) that stay until fall. Grows cherries in the summer.
Habitat:
Planted in my front yard. The species originated in Japan, and are found primarily in the northern temperate zone of the planet.
