Western yellow wagtail; Lavandera boyera

It is one of the Spanish birds that shows greater variability in the plumage with five subspecies in Spain. It is the most compact, greenish and short tailed of the Spanish wagtails. Exhibits green olive back and rump, folded wings with black feathers fringed in white, and lower parts very yellow. It has a long black tail with white outer feathers and black legs and beak. The head is bluish-grey with white throat and eyebrow, and eye and ear regions dark.
