Description:
An introduced species originally from Sri Lanka, Malaysia and much of southeast Asia. It is often seen colonizing on disturbed land,e.g. along roadsides or in rain forest regrowth. It may have been planted or sprouted naturally at this location.
Habitat:
This plant is growing accidentally or was planted as an ornamental in a semi-urban garden in the equatorial tropics of northern New Guinea.
