Description:

The "male" red-winged blackbird is a jet black bird with red and yellow shoulder patches on upper wings. Pointed black bill. This bird was spotted sitting on top of airport lights in a park near the Ronald Regan International Airport in Washington, DC. This park is in a flight path of planes taking off every few minutes and the birds do not seem to mind the extreme noise of the planes going overhead.

City park near airport in Washington,DC.
