@Dima: Canary worms are from Australia! We have to look for some Canal worms from Panama ;-)...
Yea your right bayucca...I also think it's a Canary worm now!
Young banana slugs just don't have that color or that shape! I live smack dab in the center of their most populated range. I was thinking leech or flatworm myself
Please, give us some more information about the spotting. Where did you found that? On the ground, on a tree/leaf, was there water or a pond nearby? Looks for me more like a worm than a snail. Could it be a flatworm (platyhelminthes)? I know some Canary worms from Australia (Turbellaria): http://www.flickr.com/photos/22953763@N02/3442642333 Some other, however, shorter ones from the rainforest: http://www.flickr.com/photos/briangratwicke/5777196248/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/8639190@N05/6821665250
I'm gonna say that it is a Banana slug that maybe traveled in a shipment to Panama!
me too..thought it was a banana slug :)
I have searched for an answer for around an hour and banana slug is still the only answer that keeps popping up!
That's what I thought too!
Wow...I thought Banana Slug too, didn't know they were restricted to the Pacific Northwest! Could it have traveled in a shipment of something and gotten displaced?
Not a banana slug: they are restricted to the North Pacific Coast of N America - with a small population in the Palomar area of San Diego ca
