Field Notes

Description:

Mushrooms of the Amanita species; later, the domes will flatten out. I loved this group as they reminded me both of a family and chess pieces.

Habitat:

On the edge of a new development being built; the earth had been bulldozed in front of them. Although the spotting will not change the name on the map, this was at Briar Chapel in NC.
