I think we chose this area well! We live on a remote hillside with a scattering of houses which are mostly second homes for weekend and summer use. No street lights so our little night light and a handful of others is all there is! We seem to get moths throughout the year but now is the hot dry season so not much of anything. We also created a pond which now hosts all kinds of wildlife including 4 fish which our neighbours kids netted in a river and deposited in their parents swimming pool a few years ago! Lots of birds come there to drink and bathe.
You have magic reedbeds nearby, where all types of birds seems to be resting, and now it is quite clear that your balcony is something extraordinary as well! A moth-magnet.. :)
