Agree with Sckel and Lauren. @Chief, it is a beetle-mimic Issid Planthopper of tribe Hemisphaeriini, just like this one - http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7316/9152810338_ddedeff9cd.jpg Could not find species ID, unfortunately :(
Another color of the same fellow! Very neat. I agree with Sckel.... :)
Seems a planthopper, not beetle. They are beautiful. I have not seen one of those.
