Field Notes

Description:

Its body is long, and extremely slender. Its distinguishing features include the large eye, which is at least half the diameter of the thickness of the head.

Habitat:

tropical rainforest, occurs in southern Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore, Sumatra, Borneo and Java.

Notes:

I spotted this snake in a tree, on the side of the road going to the summit in Kubah national park. It was the only snake I spotted in the park.

Holy cow, that is one adorable snake! I may be partial to snakes but, I think that eyes of that proportion can make anything look way too cute for it's own good..
