Field Notes

Description:

Shrub-like tree with small, lance shaped leaves. Flowers are small tan colored tubes. Seed pods are feather-like. Bark is smooth white with darker, textured patches. Tree was approx 10' high.

Notes:

Apparently, Curlleaf Mountain Mahogany are one of the longer living tree species.
