Field Notes

Description:

Although this looks very much like a silver studded blue There are (as bayucca kindly pointed out) several species of plebejus genus that are almost impossible to tell apart from photos. I am going to leave it like this so as not to wrongly identify the species.

Habitat:

seen on a walk around the boreal taiga forest, it had landed at the side of the road on a heather.
