Description:

The southern sagebrush lizard, similar to the western fence lizard, is a common reptile of the southwestern United States. It grows up to about 9 cm. It comes in a variety of colors, mainly browns and beiges like its habitat. The triangle markings on its back are characteristic of this species.

Habitat:

It resides in areas with lots of sagebrush or other similar desert grass, as well as woodlands and redwood forests.
