Description:

Delicate little bell-like purple flowers.

Habitat:

Found on the seashore of Quarry Island in the Gulf of St-Lawrence.

Notes:

The Mingan Archipelago is an archipelago located east of Quebec, Canada. It consists of a chain of about 40 islands. Starting but 124 miles from the end of the road along the north shore of the St. Lawrence River, the Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve of Canada spreads about 109 miles eastward as it dots the coastline with over 2,000 islands and islets. Many of the plant species found on these islands are unique.

yes, the green round thing is part of a shell or what is called a test of a green sea urchin (Psammechinus miliaris). They are very common in the St-Lawrence river and gulf and there were many of these lying on the seashore of the island i was visiting because it is very well liked by seagulls. They drop the urchins from the sky on the rocks to crack them open.
