Field Notes

Habitat:

open ground with low vegetation (or no vegetation at all), including lawns, golf courses, driveways, parking lots, and gravel-covered roofs, as well as pastures, fields, sandbars and mudflats

Notes:

This one was seen on a gravely disturbed field behind the hotel. It was doing its best at luring me away from the nest area with its broken wing bluff. I never did see the nest despite a bit of searching. I didn't search long though, as it seemed the parent was becoming more and more stressed.
