Field Notes

Description:

The (non-black) swallowtails have been decidedly orange this summer (rather than yellow and black). There has also been a drastic increase in swallowtails in general (that or they are hanging out lower to the ground this summer), many of which are black.

Notes:

The second image, showing the upper side of wings) is washed out so not reflecting the color properly. I am not 100% positive it is the same butterfly since two were flitting around at the time
