Lacewing Larva and Eggs
55.7694, 12.471
Field Notes
Description:
I found the eggs of unknown lacewing species on a dried branch hanging on a tree (Photo 2) and took them home. After 4 or 5 days the larvae hatched which then released them on a bush where they can eat aphids one of their favorite food.
Habitat:
Forest by a lake
Notes:
The eggs are laid in that way to give them protection against predators and also to prevent cannibalism.
