Description:

I've been watching this flock of Black Vultures for awhile. Large, companionable birds who mate for life and like to fly around in big, lazy circles in the late afternoon as the changing temperature creates drafts. Most people don't look carefully at "buzzards" ... I think they're my next project.

Thanks for your thoughts, Sckel. I find much to admire in vultures ...
I see flocks of vultures every day. I like to see them perched on dead tree branches. I like watching vultures gliding in the blue sky. It's beautiful. Yesterday I saw a kind of hawk soaring with vultures. But I'm terrible for photographing birds in flight. :(
