Field Notes

Description:

Medium sized true frog, very difficult to decide on exact species - three of them (P. ridibundus, P. lessonae and their hybrid, P. esculentus) are very common in our area, and I gave up on IDing them beyond the genus...

Habitat:

Seen on shores of so called "dead branch" of river Rhône, protected marshes in Geneva lake valley.
