Summer form with summer hindwings.

Habitat:

Found in sunny area along trail in upland mixed forest.

Notes:

Spotted at Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge, North Country Trail, north of Rice Lake and east of Johnson Lake. Identification Reference: Butterflies of the North Woods, by Larry Weber.
