Description:

This fruit is also known as Pitaya, a species of cactus especially in genus hylocereus. The white flesh is embedded with a sesame sized seeds which is also edible, it can be eaten raw or fresh which taste mildly sweet. flower blooms in the evening thus pollination takes place.

Habitat:

it can be easily grown in your backyard but need a wide space becuase of its spreading and climbing vines, it requires full sun to bloom fruit well but some gowers are located in cold regions.

Notes:

a native from Mexico, Central and South America, these vine like cacti are also cultivated in Malaysia, Vietnam, Southeast of China, They are found in Taiwan and Philippines.
