Notes:

I've only seen two river otters in the wild, so I was rather disappointed to find this skull along side the trail. Sorry I did not get more angles, as it started to rain not long after I found it.

Thanks for commenting Rosa Maria! Yes it was just the skull, but that is not unusual in this area. I find many animal skulls by themselves, as the coyotes drag pieces all over. Other scavengers such as opossums and raccoons could be the culprits as well.
Wow! That's interesting and just a skull? That's a little odd to not find the body. Hopefully luck will turn around and you will see some live ones. :)
