Yes, cannot tell anything. Still, exciting to put up a new species. Keep an eye out for more opportunities for detailed photos of this butterfly, see if you can really nail it down. Dave
I have added another photo....but it's not quite good
You should go ahead and put niobe up as an ID. I am seeing the difference now, in the much darker niobe, even though everything else is the same. Dave

Woe! I can't tell the difference between niobe and omaha. But, given your location, I would definitely say you were right. Pity you didn't get a photo of the underside, as there are two sub-species. A good piece of detective work - well done :) Dave
