Description:

A shorebird that isn't always found on the shore. These birds can found in many habitats but mostly they are in the open. You can usually hear them before you see them. Two rings around the neck. Brown on back, wings and tail. The brown is also on the head broken up by a white and black on the forehead and white eyebrow. Underside is mostly white. Bill is meduim length. This one found a grasshopper to feed to it's mate. This one is nesting inside the tern colony.

Habitat:

Open flat areas. Grassy, gravel or sandy.
