Field Notes

Description:

Blue Jays are large birds that sing, and have broad, rounded tails. Blue Jays are smaller than crows, however they are larger than robins. These birds are white or light gray underneath, and are black, blue, and white above.

Habitat:

Blue Jays tend to be nearby forest edges. They are often found near oaks, in parks, forests, towns, and cities.

Notes:

Blue Jays make noises and calls that carry long distances. Most calls or noises are produced when the birds are in trees.
