Description:

4.5 to 5 feet long, good body condition, warm from basking and very calm when picked up.

Habitat:

Near the shore of San Francisco Bay, in a weedy, grassy area.

Thanks! Those are my 10 year-old's hands, holding it. He spotted it but was cautious of being bitten, so he had his test subject (a.k.a. Mom) pick it up for him first. :)
