Field Notes

Description:

A colony of R marginata paper wasps building a nest. The nests are gray.brown and appear to be made of papery material. The structure is hexagonal and some of the openings are covered by a thin, whitish, fiber like material.

Habitat:

Found in a terrace garden near me. The nest is housed on a granite wall.
