Description:

Fan moss is common in coniferous forests in the Pacific Northwest. The male gametophytes can have a dark group of antheridia at the apical terminus, giving the moss the appearance of small green flowers with black centres.

Habitat:

Found in a shallow creek system that spread into a large wetland .
