Field Notes

Description:

Major snail infestation on the property, hundreds of snail aestivating (in a state of dormancy) on trees, grass, posts, and fences. Photos 2 - 4 are from a bucket of snails hand-picked from the garden plants.

Habitat:

"This snail is endemic to Mediterranean and Western Europe, including the British Isles." ~wiki

Notes:

Not 100% sure of ID; could be Theba pisana but most snails I observed have a more open umbilicus.
