Field Notes

Description:

This little critter greeted me, as I walked to my room at night across a small bridge following dinner at the main lodge. It was just ambling along and appeared to be a bit over six inches, as I judged some of the boards over which it was crossing as dressed 1x6 inchers. It was somewhat longer than the width of the boards.
It appeared harmless, but I thought best about picking it up.

Habitat:

Amazon rainforest
