Description:

Perennial herbaceous flowering shrub, here some 60 - 70 cm tall, with pale pink five-petaled flowers.

Habitat:

Edges of coniferous forest, on slopes of Jura mountain range, border of Natural Reserve.

Notes:

This a medicinal and edible plant. It produces a mucilage, gluey substance used to soothe irritated mucous membranes. Flowers and young leaves are edible, and can be added to salads. Seeds are also said to be edible - but do not how...
